At the 9th Meeting, we will explore new perspectives and opportunities, deepening our connections and learning from one another. We will also highlight how diverse mycelium applications across industries can further expand the community’s impact.

Focusing on the idea of Planting Healthier Nutrition, participants dive into the latest food system research and engage in critical exchanges on timely issues. As co-creating ideas is at the core of sustainable change, Food Day brings together diverse perspectives from science, industry, and policy with a program of interactive workshops, expert-led sessions, and, of course, a bit of cooking.

What does a way of eating that nourishes both body and soil taste like? What happens when fermentation not only refines food but also strengthens our microbiome? How are chefs shaping the agriculture of tomorrow through conscious ingredient choices? And what role do farmers play in the fight against the climate crisis? From 29 October to 1 November 2025, we’ll explore these questions and create a platform for inspiring ideas, meaningful encounters, and practical solutions for a sustainable food culture.

Fermentation will play a key role in the future of plant-based food and alternative proteins in general, which is why we combine in this edition the Innovation Groups Proteins4Future and Bioconversion for the second time in 2 years. In addition, participants will gain valuable insights in the newly established Sproudz environment in Zollikofen powered by fenaco and already used by Outlawz Food and the Bakery Bakery.
