Swiss Food Research and the Fourfold Foundation are pleased to launch an Open Call for Applications to the Innovation Group Proteins4Future.

This six-month program will support the development of innovative projects on alternative proteins along the value chain. The scope includes breakthrough innovations on in the areas of plant-based protein as well as biomass and biotech solutions.

It aims to nurture early-stage, pre-competitive ideas from the Swiss Food Research community and provides essential support to transition them into market-validated products. Two projects, selected by the Jury, will receive full access to a six months mentoring program and innovation funding in the amount of CHF 25’000.

Funding

• Funding can be used according to your purposes as specified and assessed during application phase

Eligibility

• Collaboration between two Research Organizations or one Research Organization with one Implementation Partner
• Must be able to demonstrate: Novel Approaches, Out of the Box Solutions, Breakthrough Ideas, Open for new Inputs
• Sustainability considered from economical, ecological and social aspects

General Information about Swiss Food Research Calls

The Swiss Food Research Call aims at funding ideas and proof of concepts in a very early stage of a research project. The project should focus on a topic along the entire Agro-Food value chain including its adjacent fields. The funding should enable you to take the first steps and to get a better “understanding” of your innovative idea. The more innovative ideas can be funded, the greater the pool of potential research projects for the future.

To apply for funding you should have not only a project idea but also some potential applications in mind, where your project idea will add value. Industry partners in the project are very welcome to participate the industry partner has to be member of Swiss Food Research. Funding is accessible for all Research Institutes and Labs who are member of Swiss Food Research. Funding can be combined with other funding schemes, but work packages have to be different and double funding for the same topic is not allowed.
