Lucas holds a PhD in food process engineering from the ETH Zurich. Innovations are omnipresent for him, from the development of thermostable chocolate, microstructured powders and the process design for the extraction of microplastics. He is passionate about transferring knowledge and developing ideas from science to business. Dedicated and continuous support of early stage ideas and pioneering projects are key to drive effective innovations for a sustainable future.

Marina Helm Romaneschi
Marketing & Innovation Strategy
Through her work in international corporations, start-ups, educational and networking organizations, Marina has a profound knowledge of Agro Food Ecosystems. Further education courses at IMD, Lausanne, and UC Berkeley Extension, California for business creation and leadership sparked her curiosity for innovation. With a holistic mindset, she develops strategies and translates them into new business areas, concepts, and partnerships. Today with a special focus on people and the environment. She loves to discover, promote, and coach development potential and to accompany innovation processes in the Innovation Booster, among other things.

Helene is fascinated by how ideas get rolling when people pull together. To achieve this, she likes to start by analyzing the problem, network the relevant stakeholders and create a common understanding of the problem between agricultural production, trade, sales and consumption. As an agricultural scientist, she brings the perspective of agriculture to Swiss Food Research. She has already worked in research and administration, as well as for young companies.
