Projects, processes and innovations are a central theme of Peter Braun's career in the food industry. His many years of experience, as a project engineer and process developer in R&D at Kraftfoods and as head of R&D, technology and marketing at Bühler AG, as well as a lecturer in process engineering, will now contribute to the development of the industry at Swiss Food Research. His network and knowledge make him a popular sparring partner for all members.

Marina Helm Romaneschi,
Marketing & Strategy
She has worked in international corporations and in business development for Italian food companies. Further education courses at IMD, Lausanne and UC Berkeley Extension, California for business start-up and leadership sparked her curiosity for innovation. She loves to develop strategies and implement them immediately in new business areas. Today with a special focus on people and the environment. She has also had experience with her own start-ups and loves to offer opportunities to the Swiss Food Research start-up community.

Mark strengthens the team with his +15 years of experience as a management consultant, as founder of a food-tech start-up and as a charismatic and communicative networker. As a manager, he identifies new business potential, develops solutions, business plans and decision papers for the board and management of Swiss Food Research and also implements these as part of the team. In this way, he helps to make the service spectrum and the income side of Swiss Food Research future-proof.

“Fresh off the press” - Lucas holds a PhD in food process engineering from the ETH Zurich and joins the team as innovation manager. Innovations are omnipresent for him, from the development of thermostable chocolate, microstructured powders and the process design for the extraction of microplastics. He is passionate about transferring knowledge and developing ideas from science to business. He complements the team with his broad knowledge and experience to promote a more sustainable industry.

Having worked as teaching assistant in the field of environmental issues for several years, it is natural for him to look at problems from different perspectives. He is happy to support the team in different areas and to put his theoretical knowledge from his studies into practice.
